FAQs

Welcome to the Prosailing Malta FAQs, your go-to guide for everything you need to know before setting sail. Here, we’ve gathered the most common questions about our sailing experiences, yacht charters, and training courses to help you plan your adventure with confidence.

We provide a full range of Royal Yachting Association (RYA) courses, from beginner levels such as RYA Start Yachting to advanced certificates like RYA Yachtmaster Coastal and RYA Yachtmaster Offshore. We also offer motor cruising and powerboating courses, shore-based RYA theory courses, and Transport Malta Nautical Licence courses.

No experience is required for some RYA courses such as Start Yachting, Competent Crew or Powerboat level 2 and the TM Nautical Licence Course.
For RYA Day Skipper and above, you’ll need some prior sailing/motor knowledge and would have needed to complete the RYA Day Skipper shore-based theory course prior coming for the practical.
