The RYA Day Skipper Practical Motor Cruising course is designed for aspiring powerboat and motor cruiser skippers who want to confidently operate a motor cruiser in familiar coastal waters during daylight hours. The course focuses on practical boat handling, close-quarters manoeuvring, navigation, passage planning, safety procedures, and crew management. Students gain hands-on experience operating a motor cruiser under real sea conditions while building the confidence required to skipper short coastal passages safely. Successful candidates receive an internationally recognized RYA certification valued by yacht charter companies and maritime organizations worldwide.
