The RYA Level 2 Powerboat Handling course is a practical entry-level training program designed to teach the essential skills required to safely and confidently operate a powerboat. The course covers low-speed handling, high-speed manoeuvres, man overboard recovery, collision regulations, anchoring, launching and recovery, and basic navigation. It is widely recognized as the standard qualification for recreational powerboat operation and forms the basis for obtaining the International Certificate of Competence (ICC), up to 10m. Successful students gain hands-on experience operating powerboats in real on-water conditions.
