RYA Coastal Skipper Practical Course –  If you’re thinking of a career in sailing or up-skilling yourself, this is the next step towards a Yachtmaster.

You will need 300 sea miles on cruising yachts, and the Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory. This is an advanced course and includes night navigation, advanced yacht handling under sail, anchoring under power and sail and much more. On completion you will be able to complete inshore and offshore passages by day and night.

Theory is highly recommended prior the practical! You have two options for the theory:

  • Join us for a full week, Monday to Saturday to cover the theory course in class with us http://prosailingmalta.com/courses/shorebased/coastal-skipper-yachtmaster-offshore-theory/
  • Online! This is delivered by our partner company, Sailing Course Online, who are a RYA Recognised Training Centre specialising in online training. The course content is specifically delivered for an online experience, with bite-sized modules, regular auto-marked tests, and full support from the instructors at Sailing Course Online whenever you need them.
